There are three committees in S3: SAS, SPS, and SEDS. Here is a brief overview of each. Join us on Social Media! https://linktr.ee/S3FLTech

SPS - The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is a professional association explicitly designed for students. The SPS exists to help students transform themselves into contributing members of the professional community. Membership at Florida Tech's SPS Chapter is open to anyone interested in physics. Besides physics majors, our members can include majors in astronomy, chemistry, computer science, engineering, biology, mathematics, medicine, and other fields. Within SPS, Sigma Pi Sigma (ΣΠΣ), a nationally recognized scholastic honor society, elects members based on outstanding academic achievement.

SAS - We are a friendly group interested in amateur astronomy techniques and equipment. We focus on activities such as observing with telescopes, visiting other observatories, exploring the Cape, watching rocket launches, hosting star parties, & more.

SEDS - The Florida Tech chapter of the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space. Our organization meets regularly to discuss space news, space activism, and to collaborate on and participate in space-related activities in the southeast.

Journal Club - S3 hosts a student-run Journal Club where members explore recent research papers in physics, astronomy, and space sciences. Sessions focus on building scientific literacy, improving presentation skills, and encouraging open discussion about current discoveries. All majors and experience levels are welcome.
